Our mills are low-speed mills, as compared with the majority of other grinding mills. Forty-six years' experience has convinced us it is more economical and much more satisfactory to the operator to use his power for grinding instead of speeding.
At the World's Columbian Exposition our No. 10 Mill ground thousands of bushels of grain (to feed stock upon the grounds) in
Barn No.6, and was driven by a 6 horse electric motor. It was the only mill grinding grain during the Fair, and drew the World's Columbian
Medal and Diploma.
If you place a quart of feed, ground upon this mill and one ground
upon a French buhr mill, in front of a horse, he will eat all of our meal
before he will eat any of that burned by friction over the broad lands of
burr stones. Burr mill stones, when grinding corn and cobs, wear as smooth as glass bottles in a few hours; hence they are not fit for grinding corn and cob meal. Read our guarantee found on second page. We have been building grinding mills since 1867, and have never put out a poor piece of work. A poor mill is worse than none. Our mill has stood the test of time, as evidenced by back date letters. We are aware that other mill builders claim to grind faster than
we do. If you allow our mill to grind as coarse as they do; we guarantee
as much as any other mill with the same power, and the discs to wear as long. Remember, when you double the fineness, but one-fourth the We can furnish testimonials by the hundred, if necessary, but since we are willing to ship the mills on trial, allowing the customer to be the
judge as to whether the mill answers the purpose or not, we presume prospective buyers would prefer this arrangement. We will ship a mill
to any responsible person on the above-named conditions. |
